I was going to post this in one of the existing tranny oil threads, but I felt that these results warranted some kind of headline......
I changed my tranny oil about a year ago, using Redline synthetic MT90, as per the book, and using 'Gord96BRG's tips.
Very smooth, but not much change from stock 'feel'.
I read about mixing 50% Redline MT90 (90 weight) with 50% Redline MTL (75W80), but dismissed it as hype, after all, you are just mixing two types of synthetic gear oil, with relatively close viscosities......how much difference can that make?
Decided to try it anyway, for the Canadian winter, might ease the gluey feeling at 'minus' temperatures.
The results were AMAZING.
100% better shifting, as in -
-50% less effort between gears,
-no hesitation as the synchros mesh,
-not even a hint of grind from 1 to 2,
-and the best part - a definite 'snick-snick' action just like I remember from Miatas!
I will empty it out in the spring, and check the amount of magnetic 'fluff' on the magnetic plug as a wear indication, but I think I am hooked, it would be hard to go back to straight MT90! :D

What's, to miss.... You post without ever using a period, and when you do decide to actually end a sentence, it looks like this....... One period will do you know. See that wasn't so hard was it?
Learn to use some sentence structure, or I will continue to rattle, your cage,,,....
:p

Of all the crap I have seen ppl get harrassed for, not using a period hasnt been one of them. HaHaHa, damn fd3, who the hell cares? lmao...................
Hijack some dudes thread to talk about proper grammar. That is just to funny. (try using TWO spaces after a period before starting a new sentance f3d.............if you wnat to be Mr. Grammar........................................... .................................................. .................................................. ...........................................) lmao

OK, back on the subject of "100% better shifting". I believe that my first transmission failure was due to a grind. I was shifting into second and got that normal grind, but it was I little worse. When I let off the clutch it just popped and literally wouldn't come out of gear. Did I just have all of the bad luck or should some other people at least use this to reduce the grinding? I haven't had a chance to try this, but it seems to me that even a small casual grind will do damage in the long run.
