How easy is it to program the new key? Can you tell us the procedure? Thanks!

 

as long as you start with at least 2 "valid" keys it takes 10 seconds.

BTW the front comes off the new remote. the key and the remote are two different parts

 

the procedure is easy...do a search on the forum for it...don't get charged $80 from the dealer to do something that is so easy

There is a seam halfway up the unit..the 2 ends slide apart

 

The estimate ship date on the key is 10/11

The est date on the remote is 10/19

 

snap on where are you ordering from? I called trussville today they will update us when they know something

 

snap-on, in another thread two vendors have been unable to get the actual key to be recognized. Can you confirm this?

Also, when you said the valet keys are the same, does that mean the '05 valet key activated ignition of an '04 car?

 

Just call them and ask the parts dept to punch up the part numbers.

As far as the valet key being the same part number that tells me they haven't incode/outcode range for the 05 model yr.
