How do ou remove the shifter plt below the shifter ****? Does it snap off? Pop off? Screw off? I know some of you installed shifter booths but failed to mention(Or I skiped over that part) how the plt was removed.

it pops of, but its one piece with the center console, you have to pop the bitch off, there is 1 wire under there that lights up the modes you have to disconnect it

Do you pop(pry) up only the black center portion or the outside silver ring?

you pop the back out, I had to take out the entire console to install my interior lights, and yep, you will see the tranny under there, why are you doing this though?

 

Thinking about installing a shifter boot. Thinks it looks nicer.

it's easy to pop the thing open - there's a DIY for it but the easy way is just to slide your center console (to your cup holders) there should be this little piece you can slide out - from there take a flat head in there and just 'pop' it open...from there the other points are easy to open...it's fairly easy from there...get a leather sock n' cut holes were needed and you're pretty much done...careful not to drop anything in that slot tho when you open it...you'll probably never see it again...like my house key
