So what is really the best investment for major parts from them for the money?

Dave, I'm missing something. I was under the impression that you purchased a upgraded valve and were going to install it. Reading the BS on the valve, it makes me believe that it would be something special. Is that the part from the 7s that you are calling a shift kit? If not, then I am fully confused.

I have a '04 RX-8 AT as well, but the original starter is very lame. Do you know where I can find a Mishubishi high torque starter? I am told that these are one of the best starters for this car. Can anybody help me?

U didn't miss anything. Just me being secretative as usual. I bought the electronic shift controller, not the valve body. I tried the controller and was was discussed in the other thread, Oh well, so the $100 solution didn't work.

just wait until you see my next toy for the guinea pig.
