AT shift boot

I have searched so don't flame me and my question still no answer

i just bought a $60 boot from shift style for my AT and i hope its gonna fit right the thing i am worried about is the plastic ring around the top of the boot that holds it up there. i think these rings come on MTs and my AT dosent have one that i know of or does it? can anyone help me out?

ummmm idk i may be wrong but the at doesnt have a boot right??

the boots that shift style sells are for MT, i just ordered one myself.

woops, i didnt mean it doesnt have a boot in general, i just meant i dont think ShiftStyle sells boots for the AT, it looks like they only have MT ones

that's what i though but i emailed them prior to ordering and they said they have had people that used them on Ats

interesting... post pics if you're successful installing it... even the shifter diameter is different on the AT.. hence why you can't just buy an MT ****.

I imagine you're going to have to do something with the shifter guide... not sure if that's even replacable... it's been a while since I've had my console apart.

without extensive and expensive mods that is. im sure it can be done but it would take alot of work to do it

Lol yeah im gonna be at the State Meet... and of course there is a DFW crew that is gonna drive down, we did it last year... someone else has asked the same question on the official State meet thread I believe, or maybe prepare thread... not exactly sure but go check it out. A DFW local posted where we normally meet to drive out for the State Meet...

yeah so i got tired of waiting and just tried to throw on my shift boot and i ran into a few problems

1. i have nothing to hold up the boot to the ****
2. its really big
3. kinda hard to clip back down now

Shoulda gone with a MT... I didnt know they made Shinka's in AT...

No problem, and btw Shinka's aren't too far off from the GT 6MT's other than Bilstein Shocks... and the interior...

BAM! ^^me too man, 8's are already pretty unique so its cool to have one custom to you. I just finished up w/ my offset plate.

im prob gonna get a boot from a guy in DFW, im waiting a response but hopefully he'll be at the DFW meet for pick up.

im getting the stock 6spd shift boot, so we'll see how that works.

The stock Shift boot fits with no problems.. I took pics of how to install it but I cant upload my pics for some reason. (Stuiped stolen internet).. Theres nothing to hold the **** to the boot but you dont need to. Its hard to explain but once you do it. You will know what im talking about

well thats a relief. i cant get ahold of the seller i was gonna hopefully buy it from. but i am gonna do that to save me the hassle of rings and glue.
