Have you sit in the manual yet? Its nite and day to describe...

For the automatic, is lack of power unless you put supercharge and turbo.

But no matter how fast and how slow your car, is still a rx8!

there is no quick and easy interms of performance for the 8. closest you'll find to that is nitrous. dont waste your time with intake/headers/exhaust(except for the sound) as none of it makes any appreciable gains unless your FI. why am i answering to a troll?

a manual trans would have made you a LOT faster. I think I've even seen video's on utube of the difference (which is several car lengths).

So since your dumb enough too start with a slow vehicle (and want more speed out of it), you live with that slow vehicle. With all the mods I've done you'd be as fast as I was stock..

Edit: Here's that link too that race --->

LINK

I'd like too see what a 6-port Automatic 6-speed accelerates like compared too a normal 6-speed.

I have seen that video before- I am not sure that the person driving the 4AT knew what the heck he was doing- the distance of several car lengths is pretty extreme- I highly doubt if I was driving my 4AT that the 6MT stock is going to pull off 8 car lengths- maybe 4-5. Up to a point the acceleration will be greater but given some distance- things could change. I would like to see a quarter-half mile run from standstill to finish on a track- that would be a much easier comparison to make than trying to take a half-assed run on the highway.
