New Transmission
He does not care about HP, because he will not drag race, plus its a daily driver.
After that, he went on to the Dyno, and KaBooooOOmmm
Then he got a frankenstien new tranny that can handle 1000 hp.
Said will report back, but it has been more than 10 days since we last heard from him.

Sorry guys havent talked to level ten yet been busy, Level ten is a bit pricey but they are close to home. For them to have put back bascily the same tranny it would have been 3200 bucks for since i wanted an upgraded tranny i paid 4400. Now i can beat the hell out of it and not worry about failure again since its close to a bulletproof tranny and the 3yr/50k warranty i got. It finds the power quicker than stock and when driving normal it feels the same.
Man my questions went unanswered for the most part
lol.
Again just curious if shift points got tweaked a bit or if they stayed the same. To me if they got adjusted then the upgrade was well worth it. Now imagine a tweaked tranny and the feed final drive.. damn our A/T's would be fast off the line finally lol.

Havent had time to see where the new redline speeds are at. Shift points are better due to the factor it finds the powerband faster. with the stock tranny in sport mode in second gear going 40 it took a while to get going now with the new tranny same speed and gear the car pulls more. stock tranny used to lag until higher rpms but i also just got my int-x tuned by scott from mazsport and picked up an extra 20rwhp
Did they use the stock torque converter or did you get a new one? If you got a new do you know what they put it? I don't think the shift points would change unless you had different gear ratios installed in the rear diff.
One page of one-liners... not very productive...
Pics are nothing of interest as the housing is probably stock (this is not what breaks, so it's OK to use with better internal parts). I doubt they took pics of the dismantled tranny, so... no use to insist for pics. Names of internals are nice to have, if possible, but that's about it...
Specs might take a while to dig out and new tranny impressions can be twisted by the extra 20HP available. I changed the OEM fluid to RedLine High Temp ATF and the whole tranny felt different, so... what does it all mean?
Shift points are from the CPU and he did not say that they were changed.
Response time can differ due to tighter clutches and higher friction materials - but his comparison is to a mostly burned out tranny (as his OEM went bad in few years, so what is the last memory of it is not a valid reference point).
I think we ask too much of him - for the price and peace of mind due to extra warranty (but no extra cooler?), he's got a good deal (though he was forced into it by the broken tranny)...
So my take home message is: if (knock on wood!) the tranny quits, get an upgrade from Level 10 instead of a OEM one.

I didnt take pics because the tranny looks like any other tranny. I couldn't tell a difference between the stock tranny and when it was burnt. The performance torque converter and transmission find the power of the rx8 faster, but feels like stock when cruising around but when you step on it is when you feel the difference.
The reason behind no extra cooler is i dont race the car on the track. If i were to bring it to the track i would install the extra cooler. My reason behind spending the money on the upgraded tranny was if the oem tranny went whats going to stop it from going again. I belong to the New engine and tranny club.
