you can put on an exhaust, catless midpipe or high flow cat, intake or even underdriven pulleys.

Forced induction is the only major power adder for our cars. Biggest NA difference I've heard for the 4AT is the IntX for some people. I guess some got 20whp extra with it. If someone actually comes out with a reflash for the 4AT that will give some gains, possibly similar to the X but I'm not sure. The 4.77 gear i have gives you a bit better acceleration. Not huge, but noticeable and definitely makes it a more fun car.

Forced Induction AKA Turbo AKA Super Charger AKA EBay Chips

maybe not, but the AT AP is a very tangable item. :)

xsnipersgox 03-25-2008 06:59 PM

the most bang for the buck i think is to loose weight. our car don't respond well to bolt ons too much. this ain't an accord.

I donno. With enough cash, you can make plenty of power NA:

Didn't do any formal measurements, but didn't see a huge change. But most of my driving is around the suburbs. If you do a lot of highway driving, I'm sure you'd see it more there. That said, I would say my mileage has went from about 16 mpg on average to about 15mpg on average.

http://www.rx7store.net/product_p/cobb%20accessport.htm can you tell me guys if this ..... sensor I dont know how to name it :P will give me more power.... and if yes how many... BTW how to install this crap ?

mysql 03-26-2008 06:36 PM

it's a reflasher, and yes, it will give you power gains. However if you buy it from
mazdamaniac.com instead, you will get tuned maps custom for your car, instead of just the stage1 maps from the cobb website - for the same cost.

R888 03-26-2008 09:14 PM

the cobb access port has the same funtion with the inter-x?

Whats the difference if I have a NA or planning to have a turbo later?

4 port here

mysql 03-26-2008 09:17 PM

accessport modifies your factory pcm. int-x piggybacks on top of it to take control over a few elements like fuel and timing.

both are usable for na and fi, however the int-x has a $150 fee to convert between the two. The AP does not.

the ap costs 1/2 the int-x, and can do a bunch of other things, such as gauge readout, reset cels, read cels, modify radiator fan speed, omp injector rates, etc.

you'd do well to research them yourself.

Take my word for it, FI is the only way to get appreciable HP - I'll let you know next week what the Cobb AP will do to enhance what I already have.

mysql 03-26-2008 09:40 PM

I don't need to take your word for it, already got FI and the AP. lol

Thanks for the help.

But if accessport can only do reading and just a couple of maps, it seems like the inter-X can control more.
