IAT Sensor?

Hey guys...i just recently purchased a performance mod and the instructions tell me that the mod is installed in my IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor.

1.) Where in the 8 can i find it?

and

2.) It also tells me to disconnect my battery. Is there any problem is that after reconnecting it?

If anyone else has done this or has any other way of doing this, advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

You know it IS, HitGuy!

Ebay for FTMFW!!

A - Won't work,
B- You wasted your $24.95,
C- If you paid more than $24.95 you could charge the seller with fraud, (but you didn't, right?)

Read this link and don't you even think about installing that chip (if that is what you are doing)

To put it in simple terms, this is a resistor, if wired in to your IAT it would tell the computer that the incoming air was really cold, and convince it to add extra fuel.

In ordinary cars, extra fuel would equal more power, but our car runs a little rich normally, so more fuel equals LESS power, less mileage and more carbon buildup.

Besides the loss in performance, the computer is way smarter than you, and would figure out what was wrong and compensate for it within a few seconds.

That being said, the power wire for the IAT is black+lightblue, go for it.

Then you are lucky that SLR Motorsports claims to have a 60 day returns policy.

Found these pics on another forum, $50.00 for this? If you used a CC stop the transaction this is a scam. How can that piece of junk work in all the cars listed.
