increase? what, if anything....well, my car streaks, like I drove 60 miles to speeddemon's house and back and that tank lasted me a whole 324 miles.......
on a full tank till the light comes on,
and some times, I get 240, it depends, but never worse than 200

after I put the intake and exhaust in, mpg improved like what 2mpg?
something like that

btw, love my AT, its rly useful when u have a chic in da car
I'm planning on taking out the tranny, take a peakabu and reinforce it, I got some AT transmissions lying around at my uncle's garage

I have an '04 AT

I am the 2nd owner of a 2004 AT. It is a GT with everything except the NAV system. Velocity red w/ black on black leather interior. Purchased back in March 07, a "buy it now" ebay deal at a "stealing" price of $19,626 and it had only 5,700 miles on it. Currently it has 10,500 miles, its basically our family car and my wife drives it back and forth to work. I take it out on the weekend around town to blow it out a lil cause i know she does not drive hard especially with our 17 month old riding in the back in her lil car seat. Overall im happy with the car. Gas mileage has been around 15 to 16 city and on a recenty trip to Va Beach from Richmond VA it got 22 mpg, purring down I 64 at about 65mph.

How so? I suppose that it does help you keep your arm around your girl, or her head in your lap, but if you drive stick she can be assured you are good with your hands

Everytime i start feeling a little iffy about my AT purchase - i find myself stuck on the 5 fwy in irvine in bumper to bumper traffic thanking God that i don't have to worry about stalling or shifting from first to neutral every 5 seconds...

exactly man. I mean on the highway/freeway I'd love it! but the city and its traffic? u can hit 8 mph if uve got the luck of the irish in one of dc's traffic jams, that's why I have an auto.

While I have no doubt the manual is extremely fun, I also enjoy my AT.

5 atilla? try 605, 60, 57, wow, u name it, I was stuck in 605 for like an hour,no feet necessary, shift to Neutral, shift to drive, shift to neutral back once desired speed is obtained......lol

btw, traffic jams give me hesitation about buying an MT now, cus I would hate getting stuck in a traffic jam for one hour shifting from 1 to N and hitting the clutch like it was a half naked chic.......well, 20more hp anyone?

^

I'm actually starting to investigate the HKS intake. Apparently people have seen gains with it, even one AT I read about... maybe between that and my new diff (and a new tune if the Cobb reflash tool works for ATs), I'll be quite peppy for an AT

lol, yea I think Im better off modding my AT and making it better (somehow) than an MT(hp wise)

no MTs don't come flame me, no flame, this is speculation, don't give me the "cannot be done ****"

maybe with some money......

btw, want everyones OPINION

if the RX-8 AT and MTs ARE TO HAVE THE SAME HP numbers and same REDLINE
WHAT WOULD YOU GET?

I'd get AT........if I live somewhere else, I'd prolly get MT

You already have invested in your current 8 so changing would just be a loss to you financially. The a/t will never be as fast as the m/t but enough improvements can be made to make the a/t a joy to drive. I'm being careful not to make any recommendations so you won't go out and do dumb things again, but there several ways right now and more coming out every day. If you have the money and wish to pursue some mods, PM Charles R Hill, he will set you on the right track.
