Does anyone know what is the Pro and Cons of removing CAT for 4AT?

im pretty sure that it doesnt do anything significant alone, maybe a combination with pullies would help more noticable.

does it have a side effect or will it make the car go lean? or will it disturb the back pressure? or it will give higher flow rate?

you're going to gain maybe 3 hp, and it's going to make your car stink. You're better off just getting the rb reflash or something else that's not illegal.

Also, large chance you throw up the annoying check engine light.

I think the RB reflash is only for the MTs.

I'm trying a new rear end gear soon and will post my seat of the pants results once that happens.

i know it will be very fast on pickups. it will be amazing. but u will lose your topspeed.
but like all the singapore members say, how often u go 200km/h?
and u also need speed cut for that. hehehe

I removed the stock cat and install the RP hi-flow. I did notice a change. It "seems" to pick up a little quicker. Also the thortle response is faster. Now since I dont have a g-tach or did a dyno, this is all speculation.

No cel yet.

Does it cause the idle to be rough?

The idle was rough before the stockcat came off and the hi-flo went on. So I would say no.

Ive been running the stock cat and exaust for a while. I just put a strait pipe in place and gained 20 HP. Im shure its not as dramatic without FI but its proven the less back pressure the better on power with a rotory.

Yes, has this been dynoed? Why would a straight pipe add that much HP and the Hi Flow cats cannot touch that gain? Am I missing something? I know the cats will not have a 20 HP gain, but I would thing maybe a 10 HP gain. Help me out because if you really got 20 HP and have the dynos to show it (or back it up). WOW!

He said the gains were more dramatic because of forced induction. I'm sure he did dyno it since he's working on the 4 port blower at Pettit.
