the motor came out of the car today. Patrick's going to take the motor apart tomorrow.

Derex'8 04-29-2010 05:36 AM

Hurry up and get that damned car fix man....and don't be like me last summer...hah hope everything comes together for ya...

9krpmrx8 04-29-2010 08:49 AM

Sucks dude, such a nice build.

Gauges and alarms are so important on FI cars. I once had my oil return line come off at speed and had no oil pressure gauge. By the time I realized my engine was toast.

olddragger 04-29-2010 09:11 AM

you may want to install a w/m system while you are at it?

nuke0907 05-03-2010 10:07 PM

looks like a blown corner seal. no damage done. i'll try and get some pics.

Kane 05-04-2010 05:48 AM

Wow... that might be a first.

my Esmeril Apex seals and Pineapple Racing HD water seals came in last week. Patrick took some stuff to RotaryResurrection to get powdercoated. should have it back together this coming week. i might be able to pick it up next weekend.

nuke0907 05-09-2010 09:18 PM

oh yeah, it also turned out that the blown side seal did some damage on the way out. i needed a new rotor housing.

KrumbZ 05-09-2010 09:28 PM

wow that sucks bro. Whenever my time comes im thinking of using the same seals as you

Kane 05-09-2010 11:49 PM

Nuke, email or IM me before you drive it out of there bro!

UPDATE:

i've had the car back for a while now. had some problems keeping it running. it idles perfectly but is running rich. it is still not driveable. i need to send my Cobb AP back to get fixed and then do some tuning. hopefully it will be fine after that.

i also have a couple other things i need to do:
repair melted gauge wiring
install boost gauge/controller
install washer fluid/2 stroke tanks

the problem is now i have moved away from my car and have no job to pay for any of this. i will keep everyone posted once any changes happen.
