Most of those pictures are not of their RX-8. I recognize most of them from other people's projects. I'm suspicious as a result.

Half of those pictures are of an engine Paul Yaw built. This isn't his site and he has nothing to do with them. One picture is an old porting picture off of Monito.com (the blue one) and one of the exhaust port runner pictures (the stock one) was taken by me at Racing Beat! I think the ported one is guitarjunkie's. Throw in a few random other pictures that you got off of the internet and there you go.

gee, some of those pics look familiar

gene didn't steal the porting pics, i built that motor and sent those to him---JUST the porting pics, except for the one at the bottom that obviously isn't a renesis port..

unfortunately, it took a YEAR to get paid on it, so after i dropped it off at his shop, i declined doing the rest of the project. looks like it all worked out, though.

wait... i just found this

"The Jasper Performance Project RX-8 will have a one-of-a-kind, fully built Renesis engine with all cryo'd internals, lightened rotors, custom made synthetic apex, side and corner seals."

NONE of that is true. it's all stock, with a port job.

but here's just a tid bit of trivia... that silver/black engine in the background of the pic that shows one of the irons in the parts washer is the engine i used to set the horsepower record for the bnr stage 4 turbo. 402.7 whp. and it was even capable of more than that

sorry for that outburst of useless information.

i'm not getting too deep into it, but let's just say the way he handled that project was enough for me to quit working for him, and more than likely, never work for him again. i don't care how much money he throws at me for engine work, i'm done with that guy.

i mean come on... "custom" built "synthetic" seals? wtf is he talking about? it did have all new seals, but they were stock. and i didn't cryo-treat anyting, so unless they put the entire engine assembled in there.....i smell a fish story.

thng is, there's no reason to lie about it. it was a great engine. i know, because i'm the one that built it.
