Whee! Look what I got ;)

Project.. start!

Now that's a good looking 20B

Hopefully not a wiring nightmare, I've been doing my homework, looking at haltechs atm. Have the guy that's ready to tune it for me, he's tuned plenty of rx7's and 8's and he's pretty excited about this as well as me

I'm just trying to decide what to keep off the old motor, after this is installed, I can sell that and my greddy kit to make up some of the money.

If anyone has any suggestions or knowledge to impart, i'm all ears

Anyone have an extra shoehorn I can borrow?

Got it from an import company, tested compression, all good gonna start her up outside car to make sure everything is 100% got her for 3500$
I'm going to have plenty of fun moving the steering rack forward, have to get an extension. and find some GOOD mounts. I have an aftermarket act flywheel/pressure plate going on. this should bolt right up to the stock tranny. Going to do what Rgonza did and use the haltech just to control the engine, and the rx8's ECU for everything else. I'm sure i'll run into plenty of problems
Next thing I need to purchase is a new fuel pump and then run fuel rails. I'll be sure to document everything. It's not going to happen overnight, but, It will happen.
I'm buying everything I possibly need ahead of time. New radiator, New Intercooler.
I'm also looking at a turbo for it. I'm not sure if I can use the sequential that the motor came with. I've heard it's a pain in the ***.

Luckly I have my truck in the meantime when the car goes into shopmode..

Did you pay sales tax in NH lol jk I used to live there and I miss the lack of tax since washington is 8% which made my license plates about 500 a piece and forgive me but is that a torque converter?

I was just making sure I wonder if a 3 rotor AT is faster or more reliable than a MT? I didn't want to insult someone by saying awww gay an auto so gay I figured I would ask first then once my suspicions were confirmed I could ask if they were going to install a dual clutch system to get the most out of there slush box is all

If I'm correct the motor will mount right on with the RX-8 transmission, at least the housing. How will it work for flywheel and other stuff like throw-out bearing.
With a proper tune and sensor setup in addition to exhaust mod, I thing you will have monster number of torque. I think I just wet my pants.

I hope you got the flywheel and clutch/pressure plate for an RX8, 2nd gen rx7. Otherwise it won't work.

Well, I originally got it for my 8. it's a ACT Streetlight flywheel and pressure plate. Hopefully I can use this on the cosmo. I also currently have ls2 coilpacks, I though that I could just use these and buy 2 more. but I don't know, I might have to buy some ls1 coils instead.
