Do you still have a catalytic convertor? If so, that commonly gets clogged with FI, and can cause problems.

Do a compression test. You might have a cracked apex seal.

I had the exact same idling issues on my car NA.
I had fouled spark plugs. Replaced them and all was well.
Check your plugs.

We can't possibly give you a good diagnosis with the little amount of info you have provided. We need more info. Do the following

1. Pull your plugs, see what they look like. See if they smell like gas.
2. Upload a plot of your AFR.
3. Check for any codes in your ECU.
4. Provide any more of a description about your problem that you can.
5. Visually check you ignition coils to make sure they're okay.

Go straight for the fouled plugs. I'm a Volvo technician and on our 2000-2004 S40's they would do the exact same thing. Sitting at an idle, the car would hick-up, not all the time, but sometimes really bad, and sometimes only a little. And then when you get into it and get up in the RPM's a little bit, it feels like the car is just falling flat on its face. Replace the plugs and go from there.
1. What kind of turbo kit do you have?
2. Do you have a greddy E-Manage?
3. Get a Pro Tune

No. If it was working fine before, it will again. You just have something that changed. Find it and you'll find the problem. These other guys have good suggestions where to start.

Thank you .... i will start on monday ... i will keep you all posted ... What plugs should i go with ??? I changed them about 2 months ago ... But it was with standerd plugs anything better out there ??

thanks again
Shane

So my brother is a mechanic and he said i deff have a missfire ... So we are going to change the plugs and wires .. and hopefully it is nothing in the motor wrong .. If that doesnt work we are going to do a compression test .... The CEL seems to blink quit a bit now ... i dont no if that means the problems is getting worse or not ... But he seems to think that it is just a major tunning issue ...... What do you all think ... I REALLY hope its not my motor

If you have the first run of the Greddy Kit you need to look here. I hate CEL problems until i fixed the dongle...

Like everyone else is saying, it maybe plugs or also vacume leak. Make sure to check to see if all those pipes are clamped down thoroughly.

The stock plugs are NGK Iridium plugs. Its a good brand, but i would just recommend getting colder plugs. Instead of 7 Leading, 9 Trailing... you can go with 9 all the way around....

Scott from Mazsport has a set of rx7 plugs that he recommends. Alot of us are now using them. They have 4 ground straps instead of just one. This makes them much more difficult to foul compared to the stock iridium plugs. They are also one heat range colder. Best of all they are alot cheaper than the stock plugs. I have them and have had no problems with them.

If you have a mis, make sure you check the ignition coils also. They are a common problem. Pull your ecu codes. It should at least tell you which rotor is missing. Pull those plugs and visually check for spark - make sure fuel is disabled first though by pulling the fuel pump relays. One is labeled fuel, the other is labeled circuit.

I know it's a few posts late, but pulling codes is definitely the right place to begin. Whenever you have a CEL light that is flashing at you, that means there a misfire currently happening, that's what OBD II computer systems are required to do. So if your light keeps flashing, you keep on having the same problem. If you changed the plugs a few months ago, they shouldn't really be the issue. I recommended them earlier cuz I didn't realize you had just stuck knew ones in. If you don't have a scanner, it would be more effective for you to take your car to an aftermarket shop and pay the $50 for them to scan it for you and tell you the codes then it would be to just start throwing parts at it. Save yourself some money and Diag. it right the first time. Like someone mentioned earlier, check all your hose clamps, hoses, electrical connectors, and plug wires and make sure nothing is loose.
