Stainless Steel Greddy Turbo Manifold
Would stainless steel resist some of the cracking that happens on the cast iron manifold? I know that the turbo weight is also an issue. But do any of ya'll think it would work out better?
if so, does anyone on here know any machinist or anything that can do it? I lookin at spending around $900- $1300. I want the exact manifold in stainless steel

That Manifold is perdy The price is fair too, someone could build a really nice setup using that and probably save a fair bit money over the better "kits"
If I ever find a good deal on a Tig I"ll probably make a jig for my manifold and downpipe

Werd...
Not sure why you would bother with a low mount setup if you were getting a custom made manifold. You would understand more I think once you find out how limited space is down there. Really not fun. Plus you are limited on which turbo to use.

my reason is for the omp with the SOHN adapter. unless there is a better way to lubricate with a top mount turbo... fill me in

yep. choices choices choices. thats the rx8 for ya. I plan to use the BNR upgraded turbo. Going by what Ive seen it should be adequate for my power goals. I just want a manifold that wont crack, and still be able to use the SOHN adapter, unless someone comes up with a better way to keep my apex seals lubricated

That's not my point though.....I don't even use the sohn adapter for my turbo kit. Its not that necessary imo. Omp works good enough plus premix for me. Not sure why this is even being brought up really if you are set on a greddy kit

thats the reason im set on the greddy kit. the fact that i can use the sohn adapter for "insurance". i would like my fuel pump to last about 40,000 miles so I dont want to go through the tank. I also want my battery under the hood, and not in the trunk like most top mount setups. Basically Im spending more money for less power, but I want it to be reliable and durable.
