Should I Get E Manage Software ?

With our E manage units pre-programmed by Greddy & password protected, is there any point to getting the Greddy E manage software & attempt to change timing & A/F ratios ? I want to up the boost to 8-9 psi (probably through Greddy Profec or HKS unit), but I also want to correct the A/F & timing to be safe.

Guess nobody is very far in the tuning area yet. My main goal is to get from stock to about 9 psi. I will be using a boost controller, whether it's the Profec or I get an HKS EVC. In talking with my mechanic though he says that I need to change the A/F tuning a bit & probably also injectors to be safe. But if the unit is password protected, does that mean that even if I get the Greddy E manage software can I play with the A/F ratio or the timing ?

One of these days I will actually stop spending money on this car.....one of these days.
