not really a foam hose. it has nothing to do with the pettit kit. it is just foam insulation around the hard line to help the AC run better.

That's the Pettit water/air intercooler line, nothing to do with the a/c.

Phil's are red, Bastages black and foam covered.......

i'm not too familiar with the Pettit kit components but i think its a coolant line so maybe he just wanted some extra insulation for it.

maybe he can chime in so i can quit talking out my ***.

My air conditioning line is presently only foam due to not having the time to recover it after the engine rebuild.
Not sure why Bastage has the foam on the innercooler line. I'm sure he will tell us.

It's just extra insulation since it passes relatively close to the alternator. Also, Juan and I have the return line rerouted around the engine bay so that it doesn't just sit on top of the alternator.

Yeah once I know it is working right; then I'll run it under everything or switch to a black hose. I just like the clear one so I can see if it starts to have issues.

would these work? i could use the 2 ports on the front for a level gauge and drill holes on the bottom to mount the barb fitting for the 2 stroke tank and the washer pump. how exactly does the washer pump mount?

Yes!
I have about 1/2 dozen of them here in a box, along with most of the other sensors for the KL/K8.
