But HKS DL gives you the low end power, I am running with Nology wires and Denso spark plugs and Optima yellow top.

I am installing the HKS soon, will let you guys know whats the cons.

Get rid of the nology wires they suck i had them and once i changed them to mazsport wires and it made a difference on the dyno

R888 01-03-2008 06:41 PM

Throw some time down on a search & there are a few threads of Nology Wires causing problems. Why, mine are still in a box, in my closet.. :icon_no2:

With my nology wires on the dyno at high rpm i would have an electrical short and wasnt getting the hp i should have. I put on mazsports wires and no electrical problems and gained another 10hp off the int-x when scott was tuning it

Yeah.............that's it............use the marker!
Too bad you can't use my red RB's as I won't need them any longer. :icon_no2:

eviltwinkie 01-04-2008 04:51 PM

Heh...what's with all the felt-tipped loving recently? Someone recommended I use one to repaint my lugs...

I recommend them for sniffing.

Once again another quality product from Mazsport. If people really question their credibility, they should ask themselves why no one else has bothered to attempt any of these other products and then take an active part in a forum where they can get publicly criticized for them if they suck? Scott rocks!

MazdaManiac 01-04-2008 06:02 PM

If you need any more assurance, just look at what dealers are charging for coil replacements using the OE parts.

invasion08 01-04-2008 09:35 PM

Mazsport products are top of the line. When Scott came up to nj to tune some
rx8's. If was fun to pick his brain on different products to get his opinion on them and to see him work his magic and obtain 271 rwhp on a greddy turbo'd rx8. Also watching the Temp of the car on the dyno then installing his cooling mod and to see the rx8 running cooler. Mazsport puts their blood sweat and tears into there products so we can install there products at home with no problems. And if you do run into a problem they are there to help

turborx8 01-05-2008 12:59 AM

So how long will OEM coils last when they start to fail?

I loose all power past 6,000rpm and I really hope they will hold up until this new ignition solution ships out.

olddragger 01-05-2008 09:24 AM

coil life seems to be variable---i have an 04 with 52K and are on my 3nd set. I do track several times a year however.
rest assured Scott must have had these in r&d for some time. He is an artist not just a shop owner.
I hate talking to him because he is so dang knowledgeable about the 8 that he usually points out something i didnt think about -which makes me think even more and i usually get a headache afterward without even drinking a beer.
I end up knowing more but my brain is fried already.

Mazsport puts their blood sweat and tears into there products
add a bit of elbow grease and spit and it is perfect! LOL

lurch519 01-07-2008 05:45 PM

you know, i still havent seen any pictures of this product..................

mysql101 01-07-2008 05:48 PM

it's going to look like spark plug wires just under the intake manifold. And they're blue.

I can do a drawing for you if you want :)

Jedi54 01-07-2008 06:11 PM

Damn, this looks like another great addition to Mazsport's product line. I'll definitely be looking into gettting some of these this summer. (why couldn't this have come out 6 months ago when I replaced coils, wires, and plugs) ;)

I could be wrong here, but are you attempting to communicate to us lowly mortals that the Jedi powers weren't operational in regards to this particular enhancement opportunity? :scared:

MazdaManiac 01-07-2008 08:06 PM

Nology is teh ghey.

Razz1 01-07-2008 10:57 PM

We had bad reports with Nology.

Beside there principle of operation does sound too reasonable.

evilmiata 01-08-2008 11:38 AM

Issue resolved. Towing the car Thursday.
