Nothing wrong with that, IMO. Scott may be a nice guy, and he ceratinly was to me when we spoke on the phone, but just had a business model that didn't work well with the RX-8 crowd. :dunno:
I thought he was trying to imply the whole Fluid/Mazsport drama bit. And Yes he was a very nice guy. |

I think you did take it wrong . I was merely pointing out that you might be friends but not one and the same person as the poster above me speculated .
Ok My bad for jumping the gun. Thanks for clarifying. :) |

Chickenwafer was correct in his statement for the use of the igniter. There were other uses as well but that is neither here nor there becasue it was Microtech and it wasn't exactly the best solution. |

AJ's, I love that pic of your 8 btw, it really brings out the red in that paint. Beautiful car and its a Shinka so it was handcrafted by God. |

But when I look at the coils sitting there on my bench next to an old OEM coil I think - these have to be better coils than the OEMs - there must be a way to utilise them ...... |

I have 2000 NA miles on my Mazsport coils, but I will be pulling them this weekend, hopefully if time allows, and placing the kit up for sale.

Thanks for clarifying. :) is there any way to utilise parts from the mazsport igntion and upgrade the coils and or the igniter? |

What made you come to this conclusion?
I'm now running similar psi/flow and no sign of a misfire . The coils are the only major change between the two setups .... |
Coils no. Using hot plugs yes! lol
|
/\ same plugs
|
The samething happen to Mysticl or what ever his name is but I really dont think it was just due to the mazsport coils. There was a guy in Vegas that had a yellow 8 with the greddy kit. Turns out it was due to compression not the kit.

i apologise i didnt mean to accuse you, it just seemed like thats what people were pointing to.
is there any way to utilise parts from the mazsport igntion and upgrade the coils and or the igniter? Thats fine. The coils are a great choice, the igniter could be improved. We are doing so actually and will be releasing our kit soon. Hopefully Next week to answer the need of those Ignition starved forced induction customers. |

Still not sure but when I blew the motor i was having really bad misfires . I was running at around 8 psi at high rpm .

Did it go away when you went back to stock coils?
What EMS? Accessport? Stock maps have a lot of dwell..Maybe ask Jeff if he changed the dwell on his setup. The LS2 coils charge fast..so they should be OK...did you check that they were all working properly? |
