Its not just from the manifold, 60rwhp would be seen on something making 900+ rwhp.

I would say its something like 20+rwhp( from full boost on) & quicker spool. The rest of the gains are from us not cutting corners on our kit, and doing the best we could.

You still are missing a LOT of what the data means, what the tool is capable of and the relationship between specific power output and mass airflow.

So .................... 400+g/s and 260ish whp makes sense to you ?

Sometimes, yes.
Depends on other things.

So another thing I noticed was mawnee, SFR re-circulated the wastegate, but Turblown does an atmosphere dump.

one guy was trying to tell me that at depending on the angle of re-circulation one could loose 10%-20% of its power, at 300bhp that could be 30-60bhp

I didn't think this made a huge difference, maybe I am wrong? is this Turblowns secret?

I have heard through that dumping to atmosphere can gain up to 20hp but I am super skeptical about that. I, however, would agree that there would be a power advantage to doing this.

I guess if you want most of your tuning to be in one column (IE The 200%column ) on all tables that reference load, it makes sense to jack the maf scale numbers to achieve that.

A lot of variables to this. On your setup maybe 5-10rwhp.

There is no one thing that makes the big difference in power, its lots of little things that add up.

The wastegate to Atmosphere vs Recirculated can have a profound effect but it is not as easy as a % or a fixed HP number. Like Turblown said it has to do with lots of things. From my experience, Rotaries in general really like the atmos dump because of the effect it has on back pressure vs a recirculated system and the fact that they perform better with the least amount of back pressure.

In the end one thing is clear, two exact setups where one is to atmos and one is recirculated will likely show gains for the atmos dump, whether its measurable or not.

Best regards,

Chris

With a recirculated system, the best result is from having the joining pipe as far away from the turbo discharge as possible.
