Don't think you'd help sell the turbo with those numbers? J/K.

Did you ever run NA?

not bad!, but i bet it would be A LOT lower if you didnt run in 95F... go around the end of the summer, when its only 15C/60F. With almost no humidity, i bet that time will drop just on weather alone..

Thanks thanks and thanks. I'm still getting quotes from body shops, the kit is ready to get painted. Selling the car after that, or trading it for my friends EVO8. Regardless, I'm picking up a totalled 93 FD within the next couple of weeks.

Mike: can you ask Paul the number and location of that body shop he was talking about, the one that you guys do all your work at..

Didn't you just install that turbo kit like a month ago? Why are you selling it already?

Just on the 65HP ZEX Nitrous Kit with no tune, RX8 makes better times than any of the Evos out there. I never did track, but but blowing away any street car is no problem at all.

Dont sell the 8, put on good tires and tune it and shell reward you beyond imaginable.

From my drag simulator, running 10psi you should be able to do a 13.4 sec 1/4 mile.

For anyone who's interested this is a pretty cool tool. Much more accurate than the usual online calculators. You need a dyno graph of your car to really make use of it though. I've compared it to some emprical data and its usually pretty accurate.

You quoted the wrong guy

And I'd bet $$ a stock EVO would MURDER a +65HP N2O rx8. Wouldn't be close.

what type of evo is he talking about though?FQ-260?FQ-300, FQ-320 or the FQ-400.. ?

either way, the higher output MR FQ'a Need to be serviced a lot, and need to be takin care of.. they break down pretty easly, and require maitance more often the most highpowerd cars.

Ditto on the tires and the temp/humidity.

I'm also interested in what your trap speeds were.

Your setup is pretty identical to what I had before removing everything and selling it.
My best was 13.1 at 107mph. Post is here. This site has my previous times.
13.1 with 275 drag radials and no psg/rear seats, 13.6 with some 255 falken rt615's and full interior, 13.9 with 19's and a boost leak.

didn't you engage a higher boost once shifting into 2nd gear?

Yes. It was 8psi in first gear and then 11psi for 2nd gear and on. Although, the psi drops back down to 8psi in HIGH rpms so I really wasn't at 11psi until 4th gear. I recorded my boost gauge readings for that run in the video post.

Now on the street.... flooring it at 3k rpms at 11psi was lots of fun. (it'd drop down to 8psi around 6.5krpms.) I went up to 12psi and anymore would require bigger injectors.
