We are also open to suggestions or info if anybody has any but if you're gonna be a jerk or a**hole about it, dont bother. Also, we dont wanna hear how about much better you think the renesis is, all rotaries are tempermental in their own way. We decided on the turboII due to ease of support, parts availability, and horsepower potential.
Otherwise good luck with your project.

It's a public forum so everybody is entitled to voice their opinions, i just can't stand it when people start talking crap to other people just for tryin to get a lil help. Everybody has to start somewhere and some of the people on here act like they're god cuz they know a lot but they started off in our shoes one day not knowing much either. I'm a Subaru guy and everybody on nasioc is always more than willing to help and they're very respectful. I agree with you on the fd3, it would've been nice to drop one in with a single turbo set up but we got what we could with our budget.

Gonna get started again here in a few hours and find out if I gotta cut out the firewall or if we get lucky and its just a tight fit. Either way I gotta fab up a new mount for the throttle cable. It was mounted to the intake manifold which would've hit the firewall for sure so I'm gonna relocate it somewhere near the oil filter and invert it and flip the throttle lever so that it'll still pull in the correct direction.

I was just pointing out that if you don't want a thread to go in a certain direction then the last thing you should do is post it up and in that manner as well because all you are doing is opening yourself up for making it part of the discussion. If somebody posts something you don't like or want to avoid then your best line of defense is just to ignore it. It's really that simple but by and large most people are too stupid to ever comprehend this.

Everybody that I've talked to on here so far have been pretty helpful and respectful. I've just ran across some pretty bad comments on other threads that were pretty harsh. Another reason we decided against the fd3 is the fact that you HAVE to cut the firewall for it to clear but we soon found out we have the same issue with the turboII.

Found another thread on here from a few years back about a guy from South Africa that did the exact same thing we're doing. He posted a few pics so i found out we dont have to cut the firewall!!! Just gotta modify/fabricate motor mounts and we'll be dropping her in this Saturday!

Firecran is right, you don't need to cut the firewall(for any 13b engine), you don't need to cut the subframe for any 13b engine(only for a 20b). You can use any transmission you want from any rotary series platform. You should really do some studying and research...

+1 to dznutzuk, the point of staying with a 13b is that you dont have to chop anything. Also you should definitely check out his transmission solution.
