I got my AEM Tru-Boost and UEGO gauges installed!

Everything seems fine accept I noticed some "popping" noise from my exhaust when shifting at certain RPM's.

So far the stock greddy tune looks pretty decent on my wideband. My idle jumps between 14.5-15.0 AFR and at full throttle I am gettting 6.3psi @ 10.0 AFR. Way too rich at full throttle but that's better than too lean I guess.

The boost gauge comes loaded with these default settings. The numbers in bold are the changes I made. Any help with these settings would help me HUGE!!!! because I dont undestand most of these settings.

Display Units- PSI
Scramble Boost- 10.0
Scramble Boost Time- 0.0
Pressure Sensor- I
Alarm- 30 (7)
Spring Pressure- 2.00 (5)
Bar Graph Full Scale- 30
Boost Setting A- 10
Boost Setting B- 10

Currently the solenoid is turned off

I don’t understand "scramble boost" and "scramble boost time"

In the manual this is how they describe "scramble boost" and "scramble boost time"

Scramble Boost

Scramble boost is a feature that allows the driver to momentarily change the duty cycle output of the Tru-Boost. The output duty cycle for scramble boost is set in the scramble boost (SCb) option. The scramble boost duration is set by the scramble boost time (SCr) option. Scramble boost is activated by grounding the orange scramble boost input wire.

Also I am not sure what the wastegate crack pressure is on my stock Greddy kit. What spring rate is inside the wategate anyways?

Nevermind..

I found the answer on the AEM Forum.

Scramble boost lets you set a higher than normal boost level to be activated by a momentary switch. For example, if youre running 15 psi on the street and you "need" 20 psi for some reason, push the momentary switch and the actuator will raise the boost level until you let off of the button.

Scramble Boost Time is how long to hold the high boost after you've pushed the button.

You can have two different boost settings. Some people prefer to have a street setting and track setting for higher octane.

the 10 = 10% and you can make it go up to 90%

Not sure I'm a big fan of the placement.. you've blocked off your RPM and speedo!

Yeah it's temporary.

The shop that installed them said this was the only way. I knew they were full of **** cause I have seen them spread apart more than this.

I am going to spread them further apart myself.

You have a nice looking site, I really like that wordpress template!
It may not work at all, but what I just thought looking at that pic is if you could somehow mount it above the stock gauges, but inside the cluster(covering the odo and MPH/KPH switches). Basically a hanging mount.

That or try to eliminate the mounting bracket and make the gauges sit more flush.

They are made by AutoMeter. Any performance shop should be able to get them for you.

Or you could go this route and mount these right here on the hood of the cluster.

Lol, sorry for the crappy edit on the picture, MS Paint opens up a little faster than CS2 and Im being lazy this morning.

I dont know how deep those gauges are but these mounts would look nice and not stick out too much.

a problem with that mount on the hood(underside) to the left and right too much would be the steering wheel blocks the view. That picture is taken from the chest view and not eye-level. Would also probably have a similar problem mounting where I suggested- the steering wheel blocking.

I'm really all for A pillar mounting, airbags be damned.

I was able to spread them apart a little more. I am happy with it until somebody can design a decent looking gauge pod for the dash!!!

that 3rd picture shows the color to be quite "off".

Those are my pics of the pod I used to have you posted. I don't think there is anything wrong with it.

The color isn't off, it is just reflecting light in that 3rd pic, Jorge. It's more glossy than the stock dash piece. It fits perfect (if you can handle cutting the dash, but you had a shop install your boost gauge so probalby not) and it looks rather stock. I had people at car shows ask me if it was OEM
