I answered to the poll but I am really holding out for a good SC, not a turbo but price will be a factor. Of course, I am not really holding out. I can't really afford it right now. I need to pay off my bike and my truck. I've got 4 vehicle loans right now...it sucks. I should have them paid off in a year, or less. When I do...it's FI for me!!!!!!!!!!!!

waiting for a year. After reading this great forum and becoming more informed it confermed my origional thought that if you cant afford to spend a lot of time and money experimenting, you should wait. Thanks to all the pioneers out their testing products and tuning methods for the masses. Jon, Jeff, RP, RG, Guitarjunkie, snoochi, etc. Thanks for sharing!

if that is the lotus elise, which i am pretty sure it is, that is the worst angle for a photo of that car i have ever seen. looks like a kit car in that photo. bradly gt comes to mind with extra slots.
now if you can get an elise and turbo it that would be something.

Ask gigolojason here on the forum how easy it is to get in and out of an Elise. He owns one. It's a fun little car and he loves driving it. It just isn't practical in any way to be used as a daily driver. You literally have to crawl and squeeze your way in and out of the car. It's like a body suit on wheels.

RX8 and a Truk....
I'd like a turbo for the RX8 - but I'm pretty sure I'd lose piece-of-mind. I can't afford to replace parts when it blows up. As-is, I would flog my car ALL DAY for a track day and not think twice. While hard-driving I'd only have to worry about the next corner. With aftermarket boost, at least some of that available 'worry' will have to be sent to 'omg, what are my A/F's doing? Was that clutch slippage? I hope to god I didn't just break a U-joint just now!"

I got one installed by Acosta about 3 weeks ago. I am really enjoying driving the car now. It is running rich at startup and WOT. It has the juice that was missing due to low torque.

I voted for next year, but I'm really waiting on:
1) as others have already mentioned, for the warranty to run out, and
2) to see more concrete info on what a FI Mazdaspeed version might have.
