so, who has acheived lots of HP while using Interceptor and somewhat have stock motor?

So far Scott at Mazsport has topped 350 rwhp on a stock motor with a turbo kit and the Interceptor.

 

has anyone got over 400 rwhp wit interceptor? i just want to see if the 8s can do almost as what the 3rd gens did.

 

its worth mentioning that that pull was done at 12 psi, but only to 7000 rpm. The ignition system began to deteriorate at that power level, so the pull was aborted early. FWIW if that torque level could be held to 8500 rpm, you'd have ~427 to the wheels. Probably more since an upgraded ignition system wouldn't be straining as much.

 

upgradin ignition? what would that consist of? ( im still learnin alot of things)

 

pretty much just more robust coils. most of us use FD leading spark plugs in all 4 holes already, and the stock 8 coils are prone to melting, so that's really the only part that needs upgrading

 

where can i find these items?

 

using aftermarket coils with anything but the interceptor-x is next to impossible (nor is it necessary)

im pretty sure the interceptor-x can be set up fire just about any aftermarket coil..do a search or look on MSD's website. i don't know for sure though, as i've always been reluctant to mess with the ignition system on this car. the plugs you can get just about anywhere, but without a turbo you'll have a poorly running engine.

 

Yep, and that was before he upgraded the ignition. its upgraded now and he say its even more power now but no new dyno up yet.
