Good question . How you know you got a leak(vacuum/boost gauge)? To prevent mine from leaking. I just went to buy some of them clip clamps and clamp all the hoses I connected when installing the FI.

I hear a whistle from the engine bay when I step on the throttle. But not all the time-only when the engine is under some load. And it disappears in mid and high RPM's.
Rough idle, almost stalls after get off the throttle. Unstable boost.

Try harden your BOV. It could be the airinx intake that is making the whistling sound. If you don't have a vacuum/boost gauge. I recommend you get one.

It's a SC.
But anyway thanks.
I located them. Connected compressor, 15 psi pressure, sprayed all over a soap water and...lot of bubbles from a few connections.
Fixed.

somewhat dangerous if not familiar with working on motors

with car running, you can spray carb cleaner around each coupling and hose on the intake system, ie at intercooler, turbo, etc, (again be careful) and what should happen is if there is a leak, since the intake is under vacuum, it will suck in the carb cleaner and bog the engine some.

dont know what effects this will have on any sensors (ie MAF), but this is how me and my mechanic friends have checked for leaks in the past.
