Its got FD rotors inside. Cuz of big turbo. FD rotors are much lighter. Giving better compression.

Might want to check your info, FD Rotors are heavier, but they have a lower compression ratio(9.0:1 vs 10.0:1) which is better in a boosted application.
Also, weight has absolutely nothing to do with the Compression Ratio.

Also being that it's a 4 port motor I find 380hp very hard to believe, whether it's bhp or whp.
Let's see a Dyno Graph, if that figure is right even if it's bhp, congrats you currently have the highest horsepower 4 port RX-8.

Edit: Before I jump to conclusions about that, is it even a 4 Port? The info in your sig is kind of confusing, they made a 4 port 5MT but I didn't think they were available in the US.

That intake manifold is disgusting!
Have you got a dyno graph to show the power curve?

Anytime someone uses the qualifier "about" when staing thier horsepower, they are usually talking out of thier ***. It either makes "X" HP, or it does not.

Going to hang around and see what happens here.
User has been around since 2004, he knows how the rx8club rolls.

OP needs to clean up his sig, it still says Greddy turbo.

Injectors?
Cobb AP Tuning?
Dyno?

Where is the Maf or it strictly MAP based?

Doesn't even look like the cold side is connect to the compressor?

Congrats

The problem is he hasnt shared anything except a fuzzy picture. You cant show a picture and claim one of the highest horsepower Rx8s to date without details and proof. Well, you can...but you'll be met with the skepticism you see here......

I think we all know when he says about, he hasn't dyno'd it yet.

However never once did i see him claim he has the highest rwhp 4 port, and any of the like. or that his setup is the best you can do, or that it's better then everyone else's... it's just another top mount done by some unknown shop.
He bought it, he didn't built it.
He wants to feel good about the money he spent, and is lookin for some love, yall quit the hating.
further more, b/c he didn't build it himself, hes only relaying what ever lies/bullshit the shop told him about FD rotors, and to probe him with all the questions that the build would know, is a pointless endeavor. for all we knows this could be an FD engine all together.

Where is the Maf or it strictly MAP based?
As far as i know only the F-con pro GOLD offers MAF. The silver is TPS only, and the original, no fkin clue. :D

It's a very interesting setup.

I wish the OP knew more about the setup.

Oh well

• 4 16x16 INJECTION sub maps, suitable for different fuel octane ratings.
• 4 16x16 IGNITION sub maps, suitable for different fuel octane ratings.
• 16x32 INJECTION and IGNITION correction maps based on speed and load.
• 32x16 INJECTION and IGNITION correction maps based on throttle and RPM.
• 32x8 INJECTION and IGNITION correction map based on individual cylinder and RPM.
• 16x8 INJECTION and IGNITION correction map based on throttle change and RPM.
• 16x32 IGNITION correction map based on air temperature and load.

It also features 4 optional voltage outputs and 2 optional frequency outputs, suitable for:
• Replicating airflow voltage or frequency (piggyback-mode)
• Airflow-based trigger.
• Pressure-based trigger.
• Throttle-based trigger.
• Speed-based trigger.

He either lost TCS or the shop kept the stock ecu in parallel.

although it's not listed, Surely he's running speed density.. or at least MAP correction on top of alpha-n.

actually, i'm not sure if you're talking about the first turbo 8, or my twin 'FC. The fc uses an AFM, 0.0

I don't do any machinic work on my 8. I just develop exterior and interior parts for our RX-8 community. Factory ECU is still on the car. TCS is still working. My 8 was originally a 4 port 4AT with Greddy turbo kit. But tranny keep on fail on me after awhile. SO had a swap with 5 MT and this custom kit. The V mount really helps alot. I don't have much info on how this was done. I just drives it as my show car. Recent work is AirRex air suspension.
