What are you looking to get? IE Power numbers HP/Torque
How Much are you willing to spend? (even though you said price it plays a huge factor)
Are you going to be showing your kit? (in car shows etc)
Are you tuning it yourself?
Are you installing it yourself?

 

well the esmeril kit just came out... and has been just shipped to few customers. If possible (although it seems that you want to decide soon), i'd wait for dynos for the esmeril kit and some feedback from the kit owners.

Esmeril Racing and Mazdaparts.com do recommend the Interceptor-X over the EMU as you have the greatest room to grow and the greatest control over your engine. Most, if not all of the Esmeril Racing RX-8 Turbo kit owners use the Interceptor-X or a Microtech (same thing) in conjunction with the stock ECU.

Oh and flyboi there are more kits out there already then you know but it is true there will be many many more in the next few weeks. Then the fun really begins...we'll have to start a forum or section for owners so they can share information easily.

esta bien, si avias dicho antes que le podrias meter el palo a un M3. Tambien espero que tengas la ignicion terminada pronto, para comprarla junto al kit. Aunque no pienso tener mas de 340 whp por ahora. Yo no soy loco todavia. Dejame unos cuantos aņos mas en el ejercito.

lo de volverse locos es por el caballaje, aqui pocos creen q el renesis puede generar mucho mas de 400whp, cuando logre la figura no lo van a querer creer.

ok back to english....The ignition upgrade will benefit you even if you keep it at 340whp with better overall burn giving you better emissions and possibly better MPG.

I have been trying to keep up with the conversations using online translators. It does an ok job and You can figure out what you are talking about but its not as good as the Esmeril translation!

Imagine dealing with this everyday in the shop. There are two PR engineers working here now (not RGonza he is in PR right now of course)...too bad I forgot my 5 years of grade school spanish.

I get the last laugh though when it is -20F degrees outside...they are big babies about the cold. I have to sometimes wear a t-shirt and shorts in the shop they've got the heat set so high.

 

-20 F ? screw that, not even the terrorists ****** would come out of their holes to mess with us. That temperature is retarded..... i dont think ive ever been in that low a temperature in my life. We latinos are hot blooded man. PR, Miami FL..... any day of the year you can go to the beach and see babes in thongs.
Ohh BTW Suay, your choice in turbo is just that... your choice. Both systems you are considering are the better ones, the Esmeril being the less known one at this point. But rest assured that once I have mine setup, ill have videos/pictures/DIYs.
Just do your own research, this website is a treasure throve for the RX8 community. Both kits offer a lot of power, although my understanding is that the Esmeril has more scalability at this point.
