dry 55 nos or wet 55 shot ?
 

hi there im a owner of a 2004 velocity red with 30000 miles . i have beeen wanted to put a 50 or 55 shot for a while but i dont know to much about nos. should i go with the dry 55 shot just to be more safe or go ahead and install the wet . i have read thread of alot of people using wet but im kind of scare to blow my motor. please let me know some opinions since im planing to use it a quite often im in the military and here we go to car shows and races all year including the german race wars and the nurbrging race track. thanks for your commments

Just as a cliff note:

Dry system is pumping in NO2 without extra gas and runs your car leaner (more dangerously) while it relies on the closed loop performance of the car to reactively add fuel.

Wet systems pump in NO2 and gas to go with the additional oxygen.

agreed... everybody is using the wet option becuz it is the MUCH safer way to do it.....

Honestly I'm not trying to be a dick here, but I'm 99.99% sure the chemical formula for nitrous oxide is N2O not NO2 which is Nitrogen Dioxide, a huge part what we call smog.

I think. One of you google hounds go check it out for me, my internet tubes are clogged.

while your correct about the chemical compisition, N2O is a naturally occuring gas, not neccierraly a contributeing factor to smog


EDIT: it is a greenhouse gas, nothing to do with smog. besides, when burnt in the engine it seperates and binds to form water and CO2. mother nature produces over twice as much N2O than humans do

Bah humbug - N2O is correct. I'm not going to bother fixing my post as it doesn't change my point. I was more concerned at the time if I remembered the ASCI number for a subscript 2 to be more pro.

so how do u do a subscript 2?

I would suggest learning more about how Nitrous works before installing it on your car and potentially costing yourself a motor.
