Climate control query

I had the Hymee S/C kit fitted about a month or so ago.

I've noticed that when I drive around town the ambient temp reading on the climate control creeps up, sometimes to around 5 degrees celsius above actual.

Is this just a function of higher under bonnet temps affecting the sensor? Fixable?

Interested in your thoughts guys...

For a second I was wondering which readout, but noticed you are in Australia so you get the automatic climate control.

I think it would be safe to say it's cause by the extra generated heat, but I will leave the final answer to someone more knowledgeable.

isn't the ambient air temp sensor under the main crash beam?

engine bay temps wouldn't effect it, but maybe intercooler temps will.. have a look under the bumper in front of the intercooler on the passenger side you should see the sensor under the crash beam. check to see it isn't touching the intercooler, sometimes mine falls off the plastic clip.

I have never noticed a temp change but then I haven't been looking.

Thanks Jarl, that makes sense. It wasn't happening in the first couple of weeks, so maybe it's come adrift. I'll crawl under and check it out...
