You and Gil ought to get together and form a club.
Kinda like Kiwanis or Knights of Columbus, but just for stupid people.

Water methanol injection is quickly becoming a must have for guys running superchargers or turbochargers with the boost turned up over factory on pump gas. E85 is good stuff. But its still not available for most. While many off our customers don't have to have a water methanol injection system to run their combination. Its cheap insurance ensuring they have plenty of octane when in boost to help eliminate any chances of detonation. Not to mention the added cooling it provides too. The lower your air charge temps are. The lower your octane requirements are as well.

For more information on how water methanol injection works read some of the many articles in our tech section. www.alcoholinjectionsystems.com

If you haven't seen it already. Check out our new competition rear trunk mount water methanol injection system.

AIS Stage 1 Competition Trunk Mount $349.99
AIS Stage 2 Competition Trunk Mount $479.99

Once the tanks arrive and systems are available to ship the normal retail prices below will apply.

AIS Stage 1 Competition Trunk Mount $419.99
AIS Stage 2 Competition Trunk Mount $549.99

If you already have a system and just want the tank with straps and necessary fittings. Price is $139.99

Features Include The Following:

*3 gallon capacity
*Dimensions are 14" long (not including the 1.25" rear sump) by 10.5" wide by 7.5" tall
*Aircraft style locking cap with built in flapper vent.
*Large cap allows you to access the inside for those who want to stuff the tank with safety foam
*Built in virtual sump with dual 3/8 npt rear pick up's
*Dual pick ups allows the use of a second pump for our high horsepower guys who max out one pump - sounds crazy but it happens!
*Pump is reversed under the tank for a clean over head appearance
*Reversing the pump under the tank allowed also to also break up the floor of the tank to help control fluid slosh

Yeah, welcome to the forum.
No need to SPAM every thread that is even slightly relevant, though.

i have heard of these before increasing gas mileage but one question

will this system increase the lifespan of a daily driver rx8?? im not looking for it to increase hp or anything even though it would be nice, im looking to see if it will increase the lifespan of the motor.

Depends, considering that you have a stock Renesis, you should be fine without this system or any other aftermarket part for that matter. Proper maintenance leads to 100,000 miles + easy IMO. Depending on your driving habits, this too will also have an impact on the Renesis life expectancy.

ya I understand how to properly maintain the motor, but if this system does keep the engine cooler by providing a higher octane. which will also allow the use of lower octane fuel, not going to if I installed the system, just wanting the motor to last as long as my last rotary which was 185 k before it died finally.

I know that the renesis is a different motor, which us why I asked. so far I have been treating it like my last motor hoping it will last the same so that i may have the time to work on the 7 while this one stays my daily drive, longer it lasts the longer I have to work on the 7

(rolls eyes at quoting the entire massive post to add 2 lines...rather than stripping them out)

From what I've heard, and the experts around here can correct me, beat me into the ground and stomp on my head...or agree with me...running water/meth is not necessary for a stock Renesis. However, the water/meth acts like a constant steam cleaner to the internals, and carbon buildup is virtually impossible, seals maintain clearances better, etc..., as well as cooling the charge significantly which should result in lower block temperatures. I have to believe that there would be some level of beneficial effect to even a stock Renesis.

That being said, I don't know anyone that went water/meth on a stock Renesis. Only boosted.

idiots

First off I am a rotary specialist and it is quite possible to add a third rotor and housing it is just machining fuel rails crankshafts and input shafts and many smaller items to do it I have successfully done it 3 times a rotarty is not like saying oh let's add cylinders it is adding gaskets housings and whatnot as v-style engines are blocks and are bored out of solid chuncks of aluminum or steel this is different than rotary as they are sums of individual chambers not let's set pistons into cylinders you can do it its difficult costly and time consuming I am a mechanical engineer so I machined and manufactured all of my own parts cost me 8 grand but possible don't pretend to know something if you have never tried

^^As a first post to a forum, this is epic!

Regarding machining; Try machining a "period" key to your keyboard before next post. Would make it easier to read.
