I have not been able to dyno since my AEM boost controller is not working.I will limit the engine to 500 rwhp since i am using the stock Rx-8 Transmission.

Could you tell us how much the entire conversion cost you? Or maybe Alamo could chime in on the cost of 20b conversion for an rx8. I'm sure a lot of us have been dreaming of something like this and I hope I dont have to be put back into reality

I first built the 3 Rotor NA and i spent about $18,000 in 2005.The car was down for about 3 months. Here recently added a turbo and it set me back another $10,700.Keep in mind this is parts only with no mark up and no labor cost since i did the work.Tag on the $25,000 i paid for the car for a total of $53,700.If i was to charge a customer for labor you will add another $15,600(240 hrs @ $65.00).This car was also built for car shows so the cost is also higher. Is it worth it?Down to the very last penny. It sounds and runs like no other car.I get Rx-8 owners follow me to my house wanting to know which muffler i have since the will like their car to sound like mine.
Alamo Rotary is not out of business,we just run a much smaller operation and are mostly building 3 Rotors.I just finished a 3 Rotor for a customer in Singapore. It will be the first 3 Rotor Rx-7 there and i am proud to be one who built it.
