2006 RX-8 Turbo Install Hose Routings?
img_2966, img_2968 and img_2970 are showing the hose routing from the oil filer neck to 2 nipples on the lower intake manifold on my 2006 RX-8. These 2 nipples on the LIM are capped from the factory on 2005 and lower models that I have noticed.
img_2972 shows 3 hoses that are either tee’d or directly connected to the 2 nipples on the intercooler intake tube. The top hose of the 3 is routed to the back and connected underneath to nipple just after the manifold in img_2974, img_2975 and img_2978. This 3rd hose is also not present on other RX-8s previous to 2006.
Overall, should any of these hoses be routed to tee’d any differently?
Thanks for your time and any help would be appreciated.

I am going to assume you have the greddy turbo.
If you don't have a catch can. then the oil hose goes to one of the nipple on your pipe (see your pic). Remove the air meter (i think) hose and hook that up to where the air filter. The Greddy air filter will have a place where you can hook it up to.

I've looked at the diagrams the greddy instructions show. I've also looked at other owner's install. 06 models seem to have an extra hose behind the alternator. Not to mention the hose are plugged a bit differently. I have an oil catch can, just not sure how it would work with that extra hose.

Just some extra details to clear things up...
This is routed in this configuration from factory for his 2006 model. It goes from the oil filler neck to the 2 nipples on the lower intake manifold. On my 2005, my hose is routed to the rubber piece on the intake right before the manifold. Also, the 2 nipples on the lower intake manifold are capped on mine.
So the question would be, does he really need to install an oil catch can?

tell me about it.. i ahve the catch can with me.. i just not too sure which aiv's to use. The aiv's on older models are routed and positioned differently, which makes things a bit confusing.

Rather than feed the pipe back into the intake, I'd use the catch can instead and then just block off the manifold side of it. It's really hard to see detail in pictures and I'd have to see it in person. Unfortunately I won't make it out tomorrow night or I'd help you. I will probably be around most of the day on Sunday though so if you don't remedy it by then give me a call.
