Smile :Þ So I ordered the Mazsport Turbo 3 Today...

I have an 05 rx8 Whitewater pearl GT6spd fully loaded with carPC

I finally got the ***** (and money) to call Scott @ mazsport back today and order the type 3 turbo kit, all ceramic coated with the ignition solution and some new plugs. (i gotta order that resonated midpipe now too)
I cant wait till i get this kit and install it. im looking into getting a methanol injection, possibly from SNOW performance. seems to be the company everyones talking about. anyway.
I almost decided to sell the car in the aspect of its hopeless to get power.
I just love the car and the way its layed out and all the nice features.
After spending money on mazdaspeed exhaust, revi intake, act clutch and mazdaspeed flywheel. I dynoed a whopping 183 rwhp. quite pathetic and i believe lower than stock. ifigured at least 200. but whatever, it will all be over as soon as scott send me a nice (expensive) package i believe it will be worth the wait.

Im thanking Scott @ Mazsport from now.

The Mazsport kit got almost everything you need, the most power, and i dont have to piece out products from multiple vendors. i picked the type 3 over the type 1 basically because i want it to be as visually amazing as it does perform. and im already in the hole for a buttload of cash, whats another $500! so yeah. I also splurged for the extra ceramic coating of all the components for the extra bling. Im gonna be in the poor house for a lil bit. WORTH IT.

Nice choice. No better turbo kit on the market than Mazsport's, imo.

I'm wondering why you didn't go Type 2. Would have saved ya quite a bit of money (to spend on boost controller, gauges, pod, etc )

The ATW intercooler doesn't have as much capacity as the FM. I almost wish I had a type 3, but at the same time, I can pass a visual inspection if necessary with my type I. It is a tough battle. Good luck. Who is doing the install?

Yeah I suggest never dynoing another rx8 without getting forced induction. It makes you wanna sell it! I was so close to purchasing an rx7 (the black one from phoenix on ebay RHD) but the guy wanted 5 grand on top of a flat trade with my 8! HELLS NO! he was gonna trade me his for mine straight up (we figured the cars @ 25grand. (plus he wanted an extra 5). now hes down to 14,000 on ebay and nobody is bidding - oops never mind, it hit 15k and sold.
Anyway.
I sprung for the type 3 because i was already over budget, i figured i may as well dig my hole a tiny bit deeper.
My Step brother will be doing the install. hes been workin on rotaries and turbos for a long long time, and seems to know more then these local rotary guys ive spoken to. He owns a first gen and 2nd gen along with a 13b corolla that are insane- nice looking and fast! I dint just pick him, he showed me his work and how clean his installs/conversions are.I have 100% faith in him... I even had him to talk to scott @ mazsport and he said he would definitely recommend him doing the install from their conversation. The only thing im waiting for know is the actual product!!! LETS GO SCOTT!!!!!!!

If you will utilize the meth injection, make sure whatever you get comes with the failsafe.

If for any reason , meth line or the pump fails, you can say good bye to your engine.

Aquamist is also a viable option.

Good luck with the build.
