will it work dvd player?

hey guys, i need your help. I am about to purchase the dvd video switcher for my stock navigation system so i am able to watch dvd's in the car. My problem is that i do not know what kind of dvd player i should purchase. I was looking at dvd players with tv tuners but i do not know if all are compatible with our car etc. (btw, i am not doing this installation. I am getting it done proffesionally but i do not want to purchase from them because they are charging me about a grand for everything)

these are some that i was looking at:

Boss BV4450T
http://cgi.ebay.com/Boss-BV4450T-DVD...QQcmdZViewItem

PYLE PLTVD137
http://cgi.ebay.com/PYLE-PLTVD137-Un...QQcmdZViewItem

Anyways, would anyone care to point me in a direction to a dvd player i am able to put inside our cars? I know it seems like a stupid question, but i just want to make sure i am buying something that will work.

thanks in advanced guys.

Do a search here for threads about Apple Mac Mini's . I think someone here has put one in their 8. It's small, plays DVD's and having a PC in the car gives you other options down the road.

You can throw a TV tuner into a mac mini or a carPC.

I don't know if what your looking at would work. They look like they are designed for an in-dash application. You woud have to research how they output the audio and video.

I would think you would be better off with just a 12v DVD player and 12v TV tuner but depending on the AV switcher your getting you may not have enough inputs for 2 seperate units. Either way you'll also need an AUX audio input for you HU.
