where to find sensor attachment?

does anyone know where i can find a sensor attachment for the 8? (for oil pressure, oil temp and water temp.) just got some gauges and i woudl love to install them....but the dealership is next to worthless when asking about this. They don't have it. Defi says to ask the dealership (defi also says they are comercially avaliable....um..ok where then...i can't find them). Any help would be great guys.

I can't help with the sensor attachments but I can tell you the Oil Pressure gauge is a waste. The RX-8 does not send out a variable Oil Pressure reading. It only sends out a "good" or a "bad" signal. That gauge in your dash is completely useless.

search for Defi guages in this forum - someone installed them a few months ago... if i remember they used the oil drain plug to thread in a new oil pressure sensor and i forget what they had to do for the other guages. I believe japanparts.com sells the defi kit, but its rather pricey,

someone else already installed this...there is pics and such

I'm racking my brain to where it is though

as for the sensor attachment you will have to installed a new oil pressure monitor I believe

if I remember the gauge is useless because the sensor in the car is useless

hmmmmmmm

I'll do some research for yah

The shop manual shows a connection just below the oil filter where the mechanic hooks up, yep you guessed it, and actual oil pressure gauge for trouble shooting the oil pressure in the engine.

Nasty.......

Wow, what a BIATCH that location is!

You can just see the oil filter.....there is NO way you are getting at the sensor from above, it's lift time! Then you would have to use an extension, or leave the stock sensor off, which the ECU may not appreciate.

Just ugly!

I'd be worried about the thing falling off while driving and oil drain and maybe worse (fortunately the pressure monitor will tell you what is up)...and it aint going to be covered by warranty no suree

I was wondering if it would fit correctly.
I may have to get that piece later if I get the oil press/temp gauges in the future. Do you have a part number from japanparts? I couldn't find it on their site.

Do you think it will work with just the oil pressure sensor in it? Or does it need both to function properly (pressure is all I want, really)?
