On the right of the SAT NAV's LCD screen I noticed a transparent spot, like a IR receiver...

Do You know what's used for???

A remote control, which we don't have. It's a guess, but I think that's it. I saw what appeared to the the identical player on the Panasonic UK web site and it came with a remote.

Now I have another question for You: do You know if this IR receiver is present and connected in all RX-8s factory SAT NAV???

I mean: if a buy an original remote for the SAT NAV 2300 from Panasonic, do You think I'll be able to use it with my SAT NAV???
