JL for sound quality. You may also want to research amps, sealed vs ported box (I prefer sealed, you may not). Bazooka is a good option, but when you compare it to a good JL setup it sounds less than great.

Since your keeping the Bose, you sound like someone who probably could live with a bazooka setup (or try what ever CircuitCity Amp/Sub is on sale for the week).

the81000d is only 1000w @ 2ohms and you might get 850watts out of it using 4ga. with the factory alternator.

the 81000d is actually rated at about 1500 watts at 2 ohms, at least thats what it was back in the day when we sold them. and if you use anything less than 0 ga to wire up the amp, you are asking for trouble.

i just bought a Boston G3 10" for my rx8.....sounds good but need a more powerful amp...
