Voodoo Shift Knob
1 Attachment(s)
Just installed a nice stainless Voodoo shift knob. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, to be sure, but I kinda like the way it looks. More importantly though, the "feel" of the shifter is much, much better. The stock shift knob is extremely heavy, and with its leather wrap around it and the nylon insert that contains the threads, it is effectively dead from a "feel" standpoint. With the Voodoo, it's metal on metal, and you can feel everything, which makes for a more positive shifting experience. I think I'll keep it. :)

I'm I the only one who likes the the stock shift knob?

They are nice shift knobs. Voodoo has been making them for a few years. They fit Miatas and 89+ Rx7s too. All have the same thread as far as I know. Im with Rotary Rasp though. I like the stock shift knob the best. It just fits in nicley with the rest of the interior.

I like the looks of the stock shift knob myself. I'm loving the better feel of the Voodoo knob though -- it communicates what the tranny is doing a whole lot better than the stock knob. Best, Bill |
If you haven't already, unscrew the stock shift knob and feel the weight of that sucker... If someone ever rear-ends you just get out and chuck it at their head, I know I'd feel a little better. (a little) ;)
