This past weekend, my passanger side visor basically melted off of the holder. My wife pulled down the visor to remove the sun shade and it didn't want to go back. I checked it out and the seam where the metal rod thing goes in the visor was split, and some of these plasitic pieces started falling out.

Has this happened to anybody else?

It was pretty hot, but this was just freaky.

happened to our driver side visor back in february or march... didn't think much of it other than a defect in the plastic - much like the storried Defroster button crack.

Infact, 1 month after I purchased my 8 in Sept. of last year, BOTH visors had "busted open" from where the pipe or pole whichever you wanna call it holds the visor and lets it swivel. Quite embarassing when you're trying to show off a new badass car and you have a visor dangling around. The dealership ordered new ones and replaced the broken ones within a..........I'd say about a month it took.

 

I hardly every use my visor and this happened to me.

Just about every common problems with the RX-8 has happened to my car.

Yep - It's no big deal. Just call the dealer to tell them you need it replaced. Let them order the part and they'll replace it for ya no problem

 

It happen to me also. They are taking over 2 months to get a replacement. Still waiting!
