using oem screen for car pc

i have the chance to get a unblieveable deal on the navi hood and screen. from what i have read its a rgb imput can this be used from intels mini itx and have no screen size issues. ive just notice most have scraped the stock screen so was just wondering why exactly because of quality or input reasons

The stock screen resolution is going to be too low for a carpc. You could plan on using the hood with a lilliput screen and that woul likely turn out nicely.

Alright. I did this. and my whole CarPC setup is for sale....trust me. It's a HUGE pain in the *** to get one of these together. So... you could buy mine

But, to the point. People swap the stock screen because there is basically no way to get your own image up there... at least not one that is cheap enough to make it worth it. Plus, like myself, people swap them for a touchscreen, because the OEM one is NOT a touchscreen.

ok i was under the impression that the oem screen was touch screen if not it deffently not worth using

well the OEM screen isn't... but the housing is... search my name and go to my carPC for sale thread I've got a video of mine and how it works on there
