traffic reports on our nav?
let me repost this in the correct section:
I saw this little snippet in a magazine about NavTraffic being super cool. Apparently, Navteq and XM have teamed up to provide traffic updates through certain navigation systems.
Do you think there's a way to get it to work with our stock navigation systems?

Hmm, you would probably have to send the hardware in for an upgrade to accomidate the xm radio-nav connection. It would probably have to be sent back to the factory, as you would need both new hardware and software.
Looks cool, but in my small city I doubt any of those features would be available

doubtful with our systems. Someone from a Mazda 3 or 6 forum posted a few weeks back that he found a secret menu on the new nav system that might allow for that type of upgrade. I know the 04's have the Panasonic made nav system and i'd bet my left nut we arent going to ever see that type of upgrade. This system is already in place in the new Acura RL.
