they killed my stereo!!

I finally got all the components for my stereo, and I decide to take the "8" to SoundCrack, aka Ultimate Electronics and after they did the install, 6 channel Amp, wired my DVC perfect 10 sub, the stereo did not work, SNAP!!!

the display does not work now and it will eject the CD, that is it, they are going to work on it in the morning, and then have Mazda take a look at the head unit, new amp, CAP, 4gauge wirekit, and I will have to wait, bummer, I knew I should have done it myself, I have the means and the tools, not the time, should have made time

but if you did it yourself and it broke you'd be SOL...as-is, you have some recourse.

I talked to the install tech who installed a system on my twin turbo supra a few years back, and the Stealership is going to take a look at it in the am.

I have the means and the skills to do the work myself, but not the time. I used to be a Field Engineer for Snap On and Sun Electric, aka Snap-On Sun Tech systems, I repaired the Engine analyzers and wheel balancers and freon recycling machines, and everything else they made, Vat-40s and 60s and all the old vintage scopes.

I hope to have the car back tomorrow evening.

I am hoping to get a discount or a free install, I know everything will be taken care of. I am sure they will hook me up somehow. If not then I will ask....politely

they bent a pin on the connector to the head unit, I dont know how they did that but no problem. I get the 8 back today and I had them prewire the sub remote and then I am hooking up the remote as I did not get the remote in time when I took the car in.

It will be all good, I also had a custom sub box built with a down firing setup, with feet to keep the sub off the floor, I cant wait.

note

picked up the car, very nice, I did not like the dimensions of the custom sub box, I did see one here that I liked, I may pony up the cash and have a fiberglass custom box made, I have not hear anything from the group buy with that one dude that claimed to build fiber sub boxes for $150, that is a deal, lets get on that clown or perhaps find a shop that will match that price if we can get at leats 100 purchases, that would be sweet.

late
