subwoofer box mounting question

ok, so i recently added a single 10" subwoofer to my audio setup. i bought my box from srqcustoms on ebay. the only issue that i have is the box shifting around a bit in my trunk. the best solution would be using L brackets to mount it to the floor of the upper shelf where it sits (if you need a picture, check out his ebay page except mine is on the driver side).

i don't mind it being fairly permenately mounted like that but i just wasn't sure if there was anything under that area of the trunk i should be worried about hitting. or if anyone has any other ideas that might work better, that'd be good. i don't think i want to go with velcro if i can help it but some industrial strength velco might be a decent alternative if i can get it to stick to the box and the carpet in my car.

What about some bungee cords? Won't be pretty, but it'd also be less permanent than drilling and probably better than velcro.

well im not familiar with your box, but one option may be bolting the box directly to the cross frame members behind the rear seats. you'll have to pull one or both of the decorative ABS panels and remove the rear seats to run bolts through. it will never move again.

looking for something more professional than bungee cords.

i hadn't thought about the using the cross frame members for stabilization. i might have to see if there would be a viable way to mount the box there.

i don't think it would take a whole lot to hold it in as the carpet does a decent job of keeping it from moving but i want a little insurance that isn't not going to fly around if i happen to take a quick turn or brake too fast, etc. i am thinking if i am able to mount it to the bottom of the trunk safely without puncturing anything i'll consider that my first option.

Does it drop in the small recess? My ten inch's custom box drops right in there, and I put a small block on one side to keep it from shifting left and right. Keeps it solidly in places.

no, here is a link to what it looks like:

the only difference is mine is on the driver's side.

i did have a plastic trunk cover in there but that was way to slick. the box was all over the place. carpet to carpet (box to trunk) holds better but i want to make sure it is secure. my amp is mounted to the back of the box as there is just enough room for the amp for it to fit perfectly.

i'm thinking something simple like this would work:

i just want to make sure there is nothing i might be drilling into in the floor of the trunk.

from searching, this is the best info i have found so far:
