hey guys, just starting to tune and have some newby questions...

i have the 10 spkr bose system and factory gps in an 04, what will need to be done to put subs in and not effect the gps. any feedbck is appreciated

 

you should put the subs in like any other car, taking the lvl from ur left right speakers and wiring them up to an amp...it shouldn't affect how your GPS performs

 

i dont have GPS, but i do have bose. one of your options would be identical to mine, and i think it's a pretty good/common way of wiring:

tap the rear 6x9 speakers' signals and run them to your amp. if your amp has an option for speaker-level inputs, then you can run the tapped signal directly. if your amp does not support speaker-level inputs, and instead needs a lower-level input, then run the tapped signal through a LOC (line output converter) and then into your amp, like i did.

some people advocate tapping the pre-amp signals, before they go into the bose factory amp, but i have no experience with this. next time, try searching for more info, there are hundreds of threads answering your question.
