Hello I am new to the RX8 Club forums and a new owner of the RX8 after being an old time owner of a RX7.

I have a question however.

Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement Storage Box (keyed compartment between the 2 rear seats) for a 2004 RX8? I purchased my RX8 used and it did not come with one. I was wondering is it something I can order from a Mazda dealer or get second hand. I have not yet contacted a dealership as they are not open yet this AM.

 

do you have the outer skin and the locking latch? i have the box on the back.

 

thats definitely something you could order through a mazda parts dept.

you might also find it much cheaper if you put a WTB (want to buy) ad in the parts for sale section. a race team might be parting out the interior of a car.

 

No I don't have anything just a hole through to the trunk. Didn't even notice it.. I guess that is what i get for being so wrapped up in the car I have been wanting since i heard they were making it.. Bad on me for not noticing but the dealership ahs been great in helping me locate one once I got a hold of them.

I finally got through to the dealership and they are going to wholesale me one if they can't locate one secondhand this week. Which is fine.

I have not been this excited about a car in a long time.. I have been browsing web sights (started out as a search for the box) .. and now I have a ton of Ideas that i need to get money for in order to enhance her appearance a bit.
