I own a 2005 rx8. I want to install an aftermarket eclipse radio (model cd300) i am also interested in making the steering wheel controls work as well. I found the steering wheel remote adapter model SWI-ECL2 which fits my eclipse cd3000. My only question is does anyone know if the will adapter fit my 2005 mazda rx8. I saw on a list that it will support a 2004 rx8 as well as other mazdas with certain connectors. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a change in the stock radios from 2004 - 2005? or if it will work?

 

should work fine. No difference in the steering wheel control wiring from 2004-2008.

 

The SWI-ECL2 is not vehicle dependent. They ask your vehicle to ensure you use the correct SWC input wire during installation. (White in our case)
