Smaller steering wheel?

Hi,
searched through twenty pages but found nothing about this topic.

Does anyone replaced the steering wheel against a smaller one?
Driving an 1999 Lotus Elise on the sunny days a trip in my RX-8 feels like truck driving, mainly because of the HUGE steering wheel...

Best regards

I would prefer a solution with airbag, because it's a demonstrator car which is driven by a lot of different people...

btw your white and blue rx-8 looks great!!!

HKG what hub did you use to attach your steering wheel?

Elise, it would take some serious cutting/welding work to attach a steering wheel to the stock wheel center/airbag. That is the only way you will keep the airbag.

Hello SE3P HKG,

Who much did that boss kit from FEED cost? Do you know if it will fit a momo steering wheel, and is it a pretty easy install? What about the air bag light, how did you turn that off? Sorry for all the questions. Any help would be appreciated.

You can check general pricing on www.JapanParts.com.

Yes, it will fit for Momo and pretty easy to install.

What about the air bag light, how did you turn that off?\

The kit provides a resistor to trick the airbag sensor.
