Sirius Sat Tuner in Canadian Shinka?

I have a 2005 Special Edition Shinka in Canada. The Head Unit has a Sat button. The canadian dealer cannot provide any information about adding the Sat Tuner and it is not available in Canada. Is there a way of confirming whether the Sat Tuner available from US dealers such as Rosenthal Mazda would work in the Canadian model?
